Chad McNamara was born on May 4, 1982, in Ottawa, Ontario and is a Canadian actor best known for portraying Rooney Doodle on the children's show The Doodlebops. He also made an appearance in the fifth episode of the fifth season of the American remake of the TV show Queer as Folk. Although the character Rooney plays the guitar, McNamara himself does not actually play it.Chad McNamara has also appeared in the Canadian productions of Mamma Mia! in Toronto and Vancouver. In March 2009, Chad was cast as "Ryan Evans" in the professional Canadian premiere of High School Musical on Stage! at the Nepture Theatre in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
