Unhappily left his role on Falcon Crest (1981) at the end of the sixth season. He had wanted to comeback from a year's sabbatical, but the producers could not work out a deal and Foxworth never returned as earlier planned.

His character on Babylon 5 (1994), General Hague, was killed off off-screen due to Foxworth's agent double-booking him for appearances on that show and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine (1993) in the same week. DS9 paid more, so that's the one he took.
