Married to film director John G. Avildsen from February 27, 1987-December 06, 2006. They met when Tracy was brought in to audition for John in Los Angeles for his first television movie. He liked her work and kept her auditioning for over 6 hours with many different actors. Although the network ultimately gave the part to a more seasoned actress, John got Tracy's agent's phone number off the Actors Call Sheet, to let her know personally how much he appreciated her fine work, and if it were up to him, she would have gotten the role. He then proceeded to court Tracy for 8 months from his home in New York, until she finally agreed to go out with him. They saw each other off and on for six years until they tied the knot.
After graduating from the High School of Performing Arts, she received The Straw Hat Award for the Most Promising New Actress for her stage performance as Trina in "Forty Carats".
